Using soothing colors to create inviting impressions of her surroundings, Cathy Johansen’s watercolors give a feeling of peace and tranquility. Her gallery includes a variety of subjects but particularly porches, gardens, architectural settings and coastal scenes which are strongly influenced by Cathy’s travels and lifestyle in her charming New England seaside hometown.
Because of the personalized nature of the subject, watercolor house and storefront/business portraits are also one of Cathy’s favorite subjects. She is recognized for her attention to details and bringing one’s family home to life.
